1. About us

This online store is operated by Goldy Locksmiths.

By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, Return and Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.

2. Products and information

We aim to provide accurate product descriptions, specifications, images, prices and availability. Colours and appearance may vary slightly between screens.

Customers are responsible for checking that a product is suitable for their door, lock preparation and intended application before ordering. Contact us if you require assistance confirming suitability.

We may update product information, correct errors, limit quantities or discontinue products without notice.

3. Orders

Placing an order is an offer to purchase. An order is accepted when we confirm it and successfully process payment.

We may cancel or refuse an order because of incorrect pricing, unavailable stock, suspected fraud, delivery restrictions or an obvious product-information error. If payment has been taken for a cancelled order, we will provide a full refund.

Check your order carefully before submitting it. Cancellation requests should be made as soon as possible and may not be possible after dispatch.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

Shipping charges are displayed during checkout before payment.

Payment must be successfully authorised before an order is processed. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.

5. Shipping and delivery

We deliver to eligible Australian addresses using the shipping options displayed at checkout.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays or events outside our reasonable control. Risk in the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address supplied with your order.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional delivery costs caused by an incorrect address may be charged to the customer where permitted by law.

6. Installation and use

Locks and door hardware must be installed, configured and used correctly and in accordance with manufacturer instructions.

Unless installation by Goldy Locksmiths is included in your order, the product purchase does not include installation.

Damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, unauthorised modification, unsuitable door preparation or failure to follow manufacturer instructions is not considered a product fault. This does not limit any rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Professional installation is available across the Gold Coast, Northern NSW and South Brisbane by separate arrangement.

7. Returns, refunds and consumer guarantees

Returns and cancellations are governed by our Return and Refund Policy.

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Depending on the circumstances, customers may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund when a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate and current account, contact, billing and delivery information.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for activity conducted through your account.

9. Acceptable website use

You must not use this website:

  • For unlawful or fraudulent purposes

  • To introduce malicious software

  • To interfere with the website’s security or operation

  • To collect another person’s information without authority

  • To infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights

  • To submit false, misleading, abusive or unlawful content

We may restrict access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached.

10. Intellectual property

Website content—including our branding, text, graphics, photographs and layout—is owned by Goldy Locksmiths or used with permission from its respective owner.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, modified or commercially used without permission, except where allowed by law.

Manufacturer names, logos and product images remain the property of their respective owners.

11. Third-party services and links

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Payments, delivery services and other features may be provided by third parties under their own terms and privacy practices.

External links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services outside our control.

12. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Information may also be processed by Shopify and payment, delivery or technology providers required to complete transactions and operate the store.

13. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, Goldy Locksmiths is not responsible for loss or damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised modification, use contrary to manufacturer instructions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

14. Errors and availability

We may correct typographical errors, inaccurate descriptions, pricing errors or stock information.

If an error affects an order already placed, we will contact you and provide the option of proceeding with corrected information or receiving a refund.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version on this website. Changes apply from the date they are published and do not remove rights that already apply to completed purchases.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Nothing in this section limits any rights a customer has under applicable Australian consumer law.
